Composition:

The program of study for Composition major is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required for the fullest development of their individual creative gift. 

Piano:

The program of study for Piano major is designed to develop skilled performers familiar with piano repertoire, performance practices & interpretive traditions.  Master classes emphasize performance in all styles.

Strings:

The program of study for Strings major is designed to develop skilled performances in all areas of string technique and to offer opportunities to perform a wide variety of vocal literature.

Voice:

The program of study for Voice major is designed to develop skilled performers in all areas of vocal technique and to offer opportunities to perform a wide variety of vocal literature.

Woodwinds:

The program of study for Woodwinds major is designed to develop skilled performers who are familiar with the standard solo, ensemble, and orchestral literature for their instruments.

Jazz Music:

The program of study for Jazz Music major is designed to develop skilled performers, composers and arrangers in Jazz Music.

Chinese Music:

The program of study for Chinese Music major is designed to develop skilled performers in all areas of Chinese music & instrumental technique through the performance of Beijing-Opera and Chinese music repertoire.

Church Music:

This is a skilled and Spiritual enrichment course for personal development in all areas of music ministry in Christian churches, as soloists, choir conductors, workshop leaders & music educators.

Opera Centre:

The Opera Centre’s program of study is designed to offer training in stage and acting techniques and to provide musical coaching in role interpretation and style under the direction of professional staff and conductor.

Musical Theatre:

This is an intensive course in conjunction with the Music & Theatre departments, designed to give students a grounding in both of these fields.  An audition and interview by the instructor may be required.
